Sports Business Awards: WME-IMG Wins Best In Corporate Consulting

Up on the dais alone to accept the Sports Business Award for Best in Corporate Consulting, Marketing & Client Services on behalf of WME-IMG, President of Global Sales & Marketing Greg D’Alba pointed to the company’s more than 5,000 global employees as the source for its continued success. “We really have a culture of teamwork and collaboration -- it’s not about the individual, but the combined success of everyone,” he said. “Every single person contributes, and that’s one of the main things that continues to help us grow.” In the last year, the firm has more than doubled its in-house agency personnel, with heavy focuses on analytics, creative and research capabilities. WME-IMG also continued its success with its client relationships, seeing a major jump in revenue through its representation of many of the biggest spenders in sports, including winning one of the biggest recent agency pitches; A-B InBev. “We believe the greatest opportunities come from partnership, not sponsorship,” he said. “We’re so excited that they’ve chosen to work with us to to help them evolve the way they do business now and in the future.”
