NICEKICKS.com's Nick DePaula noted the new version of Warriors G Klay Thompson's "first signature shoe," the Anta KT1, has been "updated for the playoffs." The new version "features a knit quarter along the collar for some added breathability and improved fit." His custom KT11 logo is found "along the heel counter, and his scripted signature along the shoe’s tongue." Warriors branding takes "center stage atop the KT1 box" (NICEKICKS.com, 5/2).

LIVING LOVING MAID: U.S. swimmer Missy Franklin has partnered with Minute Maid on its #doingood campaign. Franklin's role in the campaign kicks off with an all-new digital film in which she orchestrates the ultimate "thank you" surprise to her mom and dad. Fans can enter the “Breakfast with Missy” promo by sharing a positive message with a parent they know who may struggle with self-doubt. The campaign also will feature Franklin in a fully integrated media plan that spans TV, digital, social, retail activation and PR (Minute Maid).

ON YOUR MARK: In Baltimore, Jeff Barker reported Under Armour "took notice of the recent rollout of a China company whose logo bears a resemblance to its own." The company, which is "promoting sports shoes, is called Uncle Martian." Its logo "looks like a 'U' with an upside-down 'U' beneath it." UA in a statement wrote, "Uncle Martian’s uses of Under Armour’s famous logo, name, and other intellectual property are a serious concern and blatant infringement" (BALTIMORESUN.com, 4/29). In DC, Kelyn Soong wrote Uncle Martian's logo "shares a striking, nearly carbon-copy resemblance" to UA. Soong: "Seen from afar, you probably can’t even tell the difference between the two logos" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 4/29).
