Bill Simmons' New HBO Show "Any Given Wednesday" To Debut On June 22

HBO announced Bill Simmons' weekly talk show will be called "Any Given Wednesday" and will begin a 20-episode run on June 22 at 10:00pm ET. The show also will be available on HBO Now, HBO Go and HBO On Demand, as well as other affiliate portals (HBO). The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER's Michael O'Connell noted the 30-minute show will cover pop culture and sports, as well as "intimate conversations with guests, field segments and Simmons' signature commentary." The first element of Simmons' deal with HBO "came about on Sunday with the digital launch of 'Game of Thrones' post-show 'After the Thrones'" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 4/26). DEADLINE's Erik Pederson noted former "Daily Show" producer Stuart Miller will serve as Exec Producer of "Any Given Wednesday" along with Simmons and former NFL Network exec Eric Weinberger. Fellow former "Daily Show" employee Jason Ross will serve as the "talk show's head writer" (DEADLINE.com, 4/26).
