Wild May Expand Season-Ticket Holder Rewards Program To All Fans Next Season

The Wild could expand its rewards program for season-ticket holders "to all hockey fans starting next season," according to Jim Hammerand of the MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL. The Wild Rewards Program, which was founded in '11, has "about 12,000 seat owners." Team officials "need to make a decision this summer in order to expand the program next season." Wild staff are "analyzing demand and trying to determine the team's total fanbase to estimate how many individuals might want to participate in the program." Members "get points for buying tickets, attending games, making food, beverage and retail purchases, stopping by the team's booth at the Minnesota State Fair, and for engaging with the team's social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter." Points "can be redeemed for Wild merchandise or used in auctions for prizes." The club is "looking for corporate partners to offer prizes like gasoline discounts or a year's supply of pizza." Hammerand noted about 85% of the 12,000 Wild Reward members "are engaged users, and the team actively reaches out to those who aren't to educate them about the program and figure out how to improve it" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/14).
