What Do You Mean? Cavaliers Could Bump Bieber From Quicken Loans Arena

The Cavaliers have reached out to organizers of the April 26 Justin Bieber concert at Quicken Loans Arena "to make contingency plans should the concert have to be postponed" due to the opening round of the NBA Playoffs, according to Craig Webb of the AKRON BEACON JOURNAL. A potential Pistons-Cavaliers Game 5 is scheduled at The Q for the same night, and the NBA contract "trumps any other scheduled event at the arena." The calendar at the arena "can get a bit crowded in the spring," with the Cavs, AHL Lake Erie Monsters and AFL Cleveland Gladiators "all vying for dates with concerts and other events." The Cavaliers "have a 13-game winning streak" in the first round and "have swept their last three first-round series" (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 4/15). ESPN's Mike Greenberg said, "If you’re the Cavaliers, you have to have assumed ahead of time you’re going to make the playoffs, so to have scheduled that in the first place is just an interesting decision.” However, he added, “There’s so much that happens in these arenas that we’re not aware of" (“Mike & Mike,” ESPN Radio, 4/15).
