Titans Controlling Owner Amy Adams Strunk Talks Team's Ownership Structure, Her Role

Titans Controlling Owner Amy Adams Strunk on Saturday "popped into Nissan Stadium and spoke publicly, without being filtered by the team" for the "first time since taking over the franchise last year," according to Jason Wolf of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. Strunk, speaking at WGFX-FM's annual SportsFest, discussed the NFL's issues with the Titans jumbled ownership structure and said, "They understand that we're moving towards a resolution of any issues they have with it. I think we're very close, and I'm going to be here. I feel like I am the controlling owner, and I'm just thinking that it's going to be soon that all this is put behind us." Strunk said that she "will attend" the NFL owners meetings that began yesterday. Strunk: "I just kind of want to be out there and get to know some of the owners personally. I've been around long enough that I do know most of them, but they don't really know me." Strunk, on if she got grief for being absent from the L.A. relocation meetings, said, "I never really honestly heard anything like that. Certainly not from any other owners, because I'm sure they understood that we had some important business that we were trying to take care of." Wolf noted Strunk on Saturday "was gregarious during her brief appearance" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 3/20). In Nashville, Andy Humbles notes several thousand people were in attendance on Saturday, which "provided a sample size barometer on efforts the Titans seem to be striving to make with their public relations image." The seventh annual event "was moved to Nissan Stadium for the first time" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 3/20).
