Overnight Ratings: Fox' NASCAR From Vegas Leads Weekend; WGC-Doral Up For NBC

NASCAR on Fox led all sports telecasts over the weekend, with yesterday's Sprint Cup Series Kobalt 400 drawing a 4.1 overnight rating. That figure is down 5% from a 4.3 overnight last year, but flat compared to '14. Meanwhile, ABC's Warriors-Lakers and NBC's final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship yesterday both drew a 2.9 overnight rating. The 2.9 for Warriors-Lakers is ABC/ESPN's second-best non-Christmas game this season to date. The 2.9 for NBC, which saw Adam Scott beat Bubba Watson by one stroke, is up from a 2.6 overnight last year, when Dustin Johnson held off J.B. Holmes and Watson. Among college basketball telecasts from the weekend, ESPN's North Carolina-Duke on Saturday night led all games with a 2.1 overnight (6:30pm ET start). That figure is down from a 2.6 for the teams' second matchup last year (9:00pm start).
