Data Shows Dale Earnhardt Jr. Celebrity Status Close To Kanye West, Nick Jonas, Eli Manning

Five NASCAR drivers are ranked among the Top 100 athletes in the Celebrity DBI powered by Repucom, an international index that evaluates celebrities. The index, launched in the U.S. in 2006, measures the influence and relevance these individuals have on the public. Respondents in the twice-a-week poll are asked to evaluate the celebrity based on eight attributes -- awareness, appeal, aspiration, breakthrough, endorsement, influence, trend-setter and trust. Of note in data provided to THE DAILY this week by Repucom, only four active drivers garnered a 50% or higher return in the "Awareness" attribute -- Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (75%); Danica Patrick (72%); Jimmie Johnson (71%); Tony Stewart (65%). Listed below are the top five active full-time drivers in the Sprint Cup Series, ranked by Celebrity DBI score.
