Wheels & Deals: Martin Truex Jr. Gets Primary Sponsorship For Three Sprint Cup Races

Furniture Row Racing has announced a sponsorship deal with Auto-Owners Insurance, which will serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 78 Toyota driven by Martin Truex Jr. for three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races this year: Indianapolis, Darlington and Martinsville. Auto-Owners also becomes the NASCAR team's official insurance sponsor. It will share primary sponsorship of the No. 78 with Furniture Row and Bass Pro Shops (Furniture Row).

OIL SLICK: Longtime NASCAR sponsor STP has signed NBC NASCAR analyst Steve Letarte as its newest endorser. The brand will leverage Letarte at track and in mostly social/digital ads. As part of the deal, Letarte will hold "Tech Tuesdays" where he will answer consumers’ questions on Twitter. He will be utilized at the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway on April 3, and other content is in the works. Letarte formerly was Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s crew chief and is in his second year as a commentator. STP’s agency of record is Spire Sports & Entertainment (Adam Stern, Staff Writer).

RICO SUAVE: ThorSport Racing yesterday announced that Safelite AutoGlass will be the primary sponsor of the No. 98 Toyota Tundra driven by Rico Abreu during his rookie season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in '16 (ThorSport).
