Overnight Ratings: NFL Honors Show Up From Recent Years; Phoenix Open Down Slightly

CBS drew a 3.3 overnight rating for the NFL Honors show on Saturday night, up from a 3.0 rating on NBC last year. The 3.3 also is up from a 2.0 on Fox in ’14.

WASTE NOT: NBC yesterday finished with a 2.3 overnight for the final round of the PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open from 3:00-7:00pm ET, which saw Hideki Matsuyama beat Rickie Fowler in a four-hole playoff. That figure is down from a 2.5 last year, when Brooks Koepka won by one stroke. Yesterday’s telecast peaked at a 2.9 rating from 5:45-6:00pm and held a 1.9 overnight from 6:30-7:00pm just after the Super Bowl kicked off. The final round in ’14, which saw Kevin Stadler win his first PGA Tour event, drew a 2.6 overnight.

The chart below lists overnight ratings from weekend sports telecasts on broadcast TV.
