Lambeau Suites, Club Seat Area To Undergo First Renovation Since Opening In '03

The addition of windows "that will open to the field is one of the highlights" of a $55M renovation project involving the majority of luxury suites at Lambeau Field that is about to begin, according to Mark Kass of the MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. All but 20 of Lambeau's 195 suites "will undergo an extensive renovation over the next two years that will include the new windows, furniture, permanent food warming equipment and new flat-screen HD televisions." The club seat common areas "also are undergoing a makeover, with additional TVs and new video walls being installed, as well as the addition of more high-top tables and chairs and updated décor including corridor graphics, new carpeting and paint." This will mark the "first major updates to the two areas since they opened" in '03. Packers Manager of Premium Seating Sales & Services Jason McDonough said that team execs "toured suites at several other NFL and NBA stadiums," including Levi's Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium and MSG. Kass notes the goal of the renovation "is to make sure the suites continue to blend into the architecture of Lambeau Field." McDonough said that the operable windows "are currently used at MetLife Stadium," where a heater has been added "to the ceiling of the suites to keep the area warm even with the windows open" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/18).
