LSU Halftime Show Will Feature 3 Doors Down After Two Other Performances Fell Through

LSU's Tiger Band will perform with 3 Doors Down for 11 minutes "during the halftime show when the university's football team takes on Texas A&M in Tiger Stadium on Saturday," according to Chelsea Brasted of the New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE. The news "comes after the LSU Athletic Department first announced -- then canceled -- two other, similar performances," with pop band OneRepublic and pop/hip-hop performer Aloe Blacc. Despite the difficulties that have "plagued the high-octane halftime performances scheduled so far, organizers intend for it to be the first in a series of similar shows in upcoming seasons of LSU football." Both the Aloe Blacc and OneRepublic performances "were in the works for about a year through a partnership with LSU and College Live." Halftime Live "is producing the 3 Doors Down performance" (New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE, 11/24).
