NFL Attendance Down Slightly; London Crowds Aid Gains For Jaguars, Chiefs

NFL attendance is down slightly at the midpoint of the '15 season. Teams are averaging 68,637 fans per game, down 0.5% from 69,015 through Week 8 last season. Among AFC teams, the Jets lead all clubs with 78,160 fans per game, while the Jaguars -- aided by a game in London -- lead in percentage gain from last season. Bills-Jaguars at Wembley Stadium this season drew 84,021 fans, marking the second-best attendance for a London NFL game since the effort began in '07. A London game this season also has helped the Chiefs to a 3.5% uptick. The Chargers, perhaps facing their final season in San Diego, are seeing a 5% jump at Qualcomm Stadium. But the Raiders, who also might be in their final season in Oakland, are down 11%. Listed below are attendance figures for AFC teams through Week 8. See tomorrow's issue for NFC figures (THE DAILY).
