FS Ohio Has Sold Nearly 90% Of Ad Inventory For Cavaliers Games This Season

For the second straight year, FS Ohio began the Cavaliers’ regular season with "almost all of its advertising inventory sold out," and the team’s local TV home since '89 believes '15-16 will be its "most productive season yet," according to Kevin Kleps of CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS. FS Ohio said that almost 90% of its Cavs ad inventory "has been sold." That includes "game broadcasts, the pregame and postgame shows, and ancillary programs such as 'Cavaliers in the Paint.'" The net also had a "95% renewal rate with existing ad partners, and had a 15% increase in new business (both locally and nationally)." FS Ohio Senior VP & GM Francois McGillicuddy said, “We’re on pace to have a record year.” Kleps notes Columbia Sportswear, Dos Equis, Jimmy John’s and Michelin are "among the national advertisers that have been added." McGillicuddy said that a trend he "likes to share" with the net’s employees is the RSN "entered the start of the Cavs’ regular season with more advertising sold than it had on the books" at the end of the '14-15 campaign. He said that FS Ohio has a “limited number' of multiyear partnerships, which probably makes the 95% renewal rate even more impressive." McGillicuddy said of the strong return rate, "We have an ability to provide feature integration into the game broadcast. That is an important key to our success" (CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS, 11/2 issue).
