Names In The News

Bills and Sabres Owners TERRY and KIM PEGULA were profiled on Showtime's "60 Minutes Sports," with CBS' Jeff Glor noting it is the "first time in a long time many believe Buffalo has reason to believe." Terry Pegula said, "There's an attitude that, 'Why is it always us losing out?' Well, they didn't lose out this time." Glor: "Your job is to change that." Pegula replied, "Yep." But when asked how quickly things change, he said, "I don't know. We just started. It's an interesting time though." Pegula noted before he acquired the Bills, they were rumored to possibly relocate to Toronto. He said of the Sabres, which he acquired before the Bills, "Some people would say, 'Well, if the Bills leave town, you're the only sports team.' ... Well, we don't look at it that way. We said, 'We need to keep the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo if we can'" ("60 Minutes Sports," Showtime, 10/6).
