AD AGE's E.J. Schultz reported Wheaties "has partnered" with Minneapolis-based craft brewery Fulton to sell a Hefeweizen beer called HefeWheaties. General Mills, which owns the cereal brand, said that the beer "will be sold in Minnesota's Twin Cities market for a limited time." General Mills said while Wheaties is not in the beer, a Hefeweizen is "typically brewed with over 50 percent malted wheat, making it a natural fit for Wheaties" (ADAGE.com, 8/12).

C'MON MANU: In London, Rohan Banerjee reported EPL club Manchester United revealed its new away kit for the '15-16 season. Drawing inspiration from the club's classic white designs worn by the "Busby Babes" in the '60s, the new shirt by adidas "features a v-neck cut collar and three stripes down the shoulders." There "is also a graphic design on the hem of the shirt as a throwback" to the '90 model. The new away kit "will be worn for the match against Aston Villa" on Aug. 14. ManU and adidas said that the new design is part of the brand's "Break Expectations" campaign (London DAILY MAIL, 8/11).

OLD BAY WATCH: In Baltimore, Ryan Baillargeon reports after Baltimore-based craft brewery Heavy Seas "released a special-edition beer in late July" around the 20th anniversary of Cal Ripken breaking Lou Gehrig's consecutive games played streak, Old Bay "joined in on the fun." The crab-seasoning company "will be selling limited edition containers with 2,131 printed across the bottom of the can." There "will be 48,000 cans made, and they will be available in stores across the Mid-Atlantic region starting Monday" (Baltimore SUN, 8/13).
