MP & Silva announced that co-Founder ANDREA RADRIZZANI has sold part of his shares to co-Founder & President RICCARDO SILVA. The duo co-founded the company in '04. Radrizzani will remain a shareholder through his holding of investments, without being involved in the management and operations (MP & Silva). 

GOING THE DISTANCE: Director PETER BERG "is in final negotiations" to helm CBS Films’ Boston Marathon bombing thriller "PATRIOTS' DAY." SCOTT STUBER will produce with DYLAN CLARK through their Bluegrass Films banner "alongside MARK WAHLBERG, STEPHEN LEVINSON and MICHAEL RADUTZKY." CBS Films is "producing and will market the film," while distribution comes from Lionsgate (VARIETY.com, 8/4).

BALL DON'T LIE: In West Palm Beach, Adam Hirshfield wrote he has read "mixed reviews" on HBO's "BALLERS." But it is "oddly interesting, even compelling," as the "cameos are to die for." They include Pro Football HOFers DON SHULA and LARRY CSONKA, as well as Jaguars DT JARED ODRICK, Giants WR VICTOR CRUZ and Redskins WR DESEAN JACKSON. Heat F CHRIS ANDERSEN also "makes a memorable appearance" (PALMBEACHPOST.com, 8/4). 

THE GOOD STUFF: Thunder F KEVIN DURANT last month made a “surprise” appearance at a Moore, Okla., Orange Leaf Yogurt shop and visited with preteens from the local YMCA’s Camp Classen in “concert with with Orange Leaf to launch a challenge to kids across the country to come up with creative ways to improve their communities” (NEWSOK.com, 8/4)....Detroit Free Press columnist MITCH ALBOM yesterday opened the Detroit Water Ice Factory. The venture is a “partnership between” Albom’s S.A.Y. Detroit family of charities, the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, Bedrock Real Estate Services and Meridian Health (DETROIT NEWS, 8/5)

NAMES: La Liga club Real Madrid MF CRISTIANO RONALDO this week walked out on a TV interview after he was "questioned about the corruption scandal" engulfing FIFA. Ronaldo "thought he was going to answer a few questions about a range of headphones" he is endorsing. He said of the scandal, "I don't give a f***" (THETIMES.co.uk, 8/4)....ATP/WTA BNP Paribas Open Owner LARRY ELLISON's recent "donation to a super PAC" backing Sen. MARCO RUBIO (R-Fla.) was $3M. Ellison’s contribution "was the eighth-largest donation from an individual so far in the presidential campaign cycle, and represents roughly one-fifth" of the $16M that Rubio’s super PAC has raised in the first half of the year (S.F.
