The Hawks named NFHS Network and PlayOn! Sports CRO ANDREW SALTZMAN Exec VP & CRO. The team also promoted Senior VP & CRO ANDREW STEINBERG to Exec VP & Chief Business Officer (Hawks). Steinberg will "take on a leadership role in the execution of several strategic projects" under the Hawks BOD and CEO STEVE KOONIN. Those projects "include a new practice facility, reimaging of Philips Arena and pursuing an NBA Development League franchise as a Hawks affiliate" (AJC.com, 8/4).

GULF CLUB: AEG Live announced the opening of a new Gulf Coast regional office with the acquisition of New Orleans-based event promoter Winter Circle Productions. WCP will continue to operate out of its office in New Orleans, while co-Founder DANTE DIPASQUALE will split time between there and AEG's N.Y. office. AEG/WCP named DiPasquale VP/Talent and WCP co-Founder REEVES PRICE VP/Operations. It also named ADDIE OLSEN Administrative & Marketing Dir and SHELBY WOOLF Marketing & Ticket Manager (AEG).

EXECS: Sabres VP/Hockey Related Business JOE BATTISTA "submitted his two-week notice Monday, but the plan had been in the works for months." Battista is "starting a leadership and sports performance consulting business" (BUFFALO NEWS, 8/4)....The Raptors promoted Dir of Basketball Operations TERESA RESCH to VP/Basketball Operations & Player Development and Dir of Scouting DAN TOLZMAN to Dir of Player Personnel.
