CLC announced a five-year extension of its global partnership with Oklahoma State to continue managing the school’s trademark licensing program. CLC began partnering with OSU in '82 (CLC).

ARMOUR AND A LEG: Under Armour yesterday announced that it "is partnering with USA Boxing to outfit team members." In Baltimore, Jeff Barker notes the deal "is effective immediately" and extends through the '20 Tokyo Games. U.S. boxers wore UA last weekend at the Pan Am Games. As an Olympic sport, boxing "is a natural" for UA, which "is making an international push." Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Everlast "provided team apparel and footwear" for the '12 London Games (Baltimore SUN, 7/22).

TWELVE ELVES: ESPN.com's Darren Rovell reported a company controlled by Seahawks Owner Paul Allen "was granted the trademark to '12s' last week." Over the last nine years, the company "has filed for and received trademarks for 'Spirit of 12,' 'Bring on the 12,' the number 12 on flags and banners and, in March, became the owner of the trademark 'We are 12.'" All told, the Seahawks "are now the registered owners of 11 trademarks that involve '12,' and have filed for six more '12'-related marks" (ESPN.com, 7/21).

CAMPING WORLD OF OPPORTUNITIES: In Shreveport, Roy Lang III noted Camping World’s new entitlement of the Independence Bowl "does not mean" the company will scale back its NASCAR commitments. Company CEO Marcus Lemonis said, "Our relationship with NASCAR couldn’t be better. I’m anxiously, but cautiously optimistic college football and these type of arrangements can even come close to NASCAR.” He "lauded the 'B to B opportunities' created by his presence in NASCAR." He added, "They help us build relationships with other companies inside the sport. We’ll see if college football offers that same thing" (SHREVEPORT TIMES, 7/19).
