June Ratings For Marlins' Telecasts On FS Florida Highest In Three Years

Even as the Marlins "struggle to rise in the standings, their television audience is growing," according to Craig Davis of the South Florida SUN-SENTINEL. Viewership of Marlins games on FS Florida was up 17% as of yesterday "compared to the same number of games last season." Telecasts "are averaging" 1.92 HH (31,349 homes) for the season. But June "saw a bigger boost in viewership with a 2.1 HH rating marking the first month above a 2.0 average since" July '12. The June 15 game against the Yankees was the "most watched game of the season with a 3.2 HH average, which means 52,248 homes were tuned in." P Jose Fernandez' season debut on July 2 against the Giants was the "most watched midweek day game (noon start) on FSF since April 19, 2012 with a 1.6 HH rating" (South Florida SUN-SENTINEL, 7/8).
