Overnight Ratings: CBS, Golf Channel See Gains For PGA Tour Travelers Championship

CBS drew a 2.3 overnight rating for the final round of the PGA Tour Travelers Championship yesterday, which saw Bubba Watson defeat Paul Casey in a two-hole playoff. That figure is the best for the event since a 2.3 overnight in ’05, when the event was held in late August. The 2.3 also is up 92% from a 1.2 overnight for Kevin Streelman’s win last year. Meanwhile, Golf Channel drew a 0.6 overnight for its lead-in to the final round yesterday (1:00-2:30pm ET), marking its best figure for the event on record. The cable net’s 0.8 overnight for Saturday’s lead-in also was a record for the tourney.
