Buyers & Sellers: Rockets Owner Alexander Selling N.Y. Penthouse For $50M

Rockets Owner LESLIE ALEXANDER "is putting his Manhattan penthouse on the market" for $49.75M, "just two years after he bought it" for $42M. The apartment "is located at 18 Gramercy Park, a prewar building recently converted to condos." His realtor, MELANIE LAZENBY, said that Alexander "bought it 'with the intention that he would be there a lot,' but he didn't spend as much time" in N.Y. as he hoped to, since he "often travels with the NBA team." The 6,300-square-foot duplex on the 17th and 18th floors "has four bedrooms plus staff quarters." Lazenby said that there are four terraces -- one "has a hot tub, and another has a swimming pool and sun deck with the view of the Chrysler Building" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 5/1).
