Former NBA coach MIKE D'ANTONI and his wife LAUREL have listed their 5,000-square-foot Manhattan Beach, Calif., home for $9.8M. The house includes a "chef's kitchen with a breakfast bar, a grand living room, a dining room, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms." D'Antoni "purchased the home" in '13 for $6.9M (L.A. TIMES, 3/19)....Padres CF MATT KEMP put his 6,700-square-foot Paradise Valley, Ariz., home up for sale at $3.5M. The home includes "four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms." Outside, the 1.32-acre grounds "center on a 60-foot pool and spa with a swim-up bar and a waterfall" (LATIMES.com, 3/18)....Cavaliers F LEBRON JAMES is "dropping the asking price" on his 16,679-square-foot Miami-area home to $15M. James originally listed the home for $17M "about four months ago" after buying the property for $9M in '10 (MIAMI HERALD, 3/18)....Cubs P JASON HAMMEL paid more than $2M "for a two-story house" on Chicago's North Side (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 3/19)....Cubs P JON LESTER paid $3.8M for a five-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot Chicago home. It includes 5.5 baths, a kitchen "with a butler's pantry, ... a media room with a full bar, a state-of-the-art wine cellar, a gym" and an elevator (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 3/19)....Baseball HOF-elect RANDY JOHNSON sold his 5,500-square-foot Dana Point, Calif., home for $6.25M. The Mediterranean-style home includes "five bedrooms and 3.75 bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 3/17)....Former MLBer TED LILLY last week "sold his six-bedroom, 5,400-square-foot house" in Chicago for $1.84M (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 3/13)....Nets C BROOK LOPEZ, a "longtime Disneyphile," said that he is "building a luxury home on site" at Disney World. The opportunity "arose with the advent of Disney's sponsored Golden Oak" real estate development on the grounds of the theme park. Home ownership in the gated community starts at $1.8M (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 3/18).
