WEEI-FM and the Patriots on Thursday jointly announced that they "will continue their long-running partnership on the branded 'Patriots Monday' and 'Patriots Friday' programming" for three years. In Boston, Chad Finn reports the fundamental format "will remain the same, with quarterback Tom Brady continuing his Monday conversation on the morning-drive 'Dennis and Callahan' show." Pats coach Bill Belichick "will remain a Monday guest on the afternoon-drive 'Dale and Holley' program." "Patriots Monday" debuted on the station in '95, while “Patriots Friday” launched in '08 (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/20).

SPORTY SPICE: Sporting KC announced a three-year broadcast agreement with WHB-AM to continue serving as the club’s official English-language radio partner through '17. WHB also will air "The Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame Show" in conjunction with its match coverage, as well as weekly hour-long editions of "The Sporting KC Show" with hosts Nate Bukaty, Andy Gruenebaum and Carter Augustine (SKC).

HOLE IN THE SOX: Single-A Carolina League Salem Red Sox radio announcer Evan Lepler is leaving the team after six years "to devote all of his efforts" to the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. In Virginia, Aaron McFarling noted Kevin Burke "will be the new broadcaster this season." Lepler "missed about 35 games last season" while serving as Ultimate’s lead announcer for ESPN3. He "will be calling weekly American Ultimate Disc League matches for the network again this year, but he’s also expanding his role in promoting the upstart pro circuit." Lepler said that he "was 'very close' to reprising his role from last year and trying to juggle both jobs during overlapping seasons." But in the end, he decided that he "needed to commit fully to Ultimate" (ROANOKE TIMES, 3/19).
