Braves Putting '17 Season Tickets Up For Sale In March, Team's First Year At SunTrust Park

Season tickets for the Braves' first year at SunTrust Park in '17 will go on sale in March, and team Exec VP/Business Operations Mike Plant said that a "high-tech setup will let prospective purchasers see what the view would be like from whatever part of the new stadium they have in mind," according to Kirby, Brumby III & Garrett of the MARIETTA DAILY JOURNAL. Plant last week said that other types of tickets "probably will become available for purchase in the fall." He added that SunTrust Park will have 4,000 "amenity-driven, luxury-type seats, compared to 400 such seats in the Braves’ current home, Turner Field." Plant: "When I say ‘amenity driven,’ we have different tiers of amenity space, all the way up to valet parking and different beverage options. It’s no secret that you drive your revenue through the amenity tickets. There’s a small segment of population, a lot of corporations and partnerships that will buy three or four season tickets and pay a premium because they want the amenity space.” Plant said that more than 50% of those who "attend Braves games are families with kids, the most" in MLB. Plant: "We don't have to build a new stadium and then have people buy personal seat licenses, or drive the ticket price up across the entire ballpark. You can count on us that this is still going to be a very affordable thing for the vast majority of our fan base" (MARIETTA DAILY JOURNAL, 2/10).
