Drive For Show: PGA Of America Renews Sponsorship Deal With National Car Rental

The PGA of America and National Car Rental today announced a five-year renewal of their sponsorship deal. Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed. National is an official partner of the PGA of America, and the deal continues to make the company the official rental car of the PGA of America, the PGA Championship and Senior PGA Championship, as well as the '16 and '18 Ryder Cups. The company is also the title sponsor of the National Car Rental PGA Assistant Championship and founding partner of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. PGA of America CEO Pete Bevacqua in a statement said, “Since 2012, National Car Rental has supported our most cherished spectator championships and has played a key role in celebrating the work of PGA Professionals nationwide while helping us grow the game of golf at the local level.” The deal also calls for National Car Rental to continue its media spend on PGA major championship TV broadcasts, along with PGA-branded programming, including on-air, digital and print.
