In Houston, David Barron reported ESPN has "picked up two Rockets games for broadcast on ABC." The broadcast net will "now show the Rockets’ games" March 1 against the Cavaliers at 3:30 pm ET and March 29 against the Wizards at 12:30pm ET. Sunday games "previously set for ABC" are March 15 against the Clippers at 3:30pm ET and April 5 against the Thunder at 1:00pm ET (CHRON.com, 1/14). Meanwhile, on Long Island, Neil Best reports ESPN is dropping another Knicks game, their Feb. 22 matchup with the Cavaliers that was "scheduled to be seen on ABC." It marks the fourth Knicks game ESPN "removed from its schedule in the past week" (NEWSDAY, 1/15).

X MARKS THE SPOT
: VARIETY's Todd Spangler reported GoPro and technology provider Vislink have reached a deal in which GoPro cameras will be "available with a wireless transmitter for live, broadcast-grade video." The transmitter is "small enough to be worn or mounted on various equipment to provide new perspectives for TV producers." It will be "showcased during popular live events this winter, including ESPN’s Winter X Games 2015 Aspen from Jan. 22-25, as well as select AMA Monster Energy Supercross events and other live sporting events" (VARIETY.com, 1/14).

MO-TOWN: Former NBAer Morris Peterson "has been added" to TSN’s Raptors broadcast team, and he will "appear both in the TSN Studio and on-site at the Air Canada Centre." Peterson was scheduled to make his "broadcast debut" last night when the Raptors hosted the 76ers (CP, 1/14).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
