Two-Point Play: NBA Promotes Senior Level Execs Kathy Behrens, Dan Rube

The NBA has promoted two senior execs, naming KATHY BEHRENS President of Social Responsibility & Player Programs and DAN RUBE Exec VP & Deputy General Counsel. Behrens previously was Exec VP/Social Responsibility & Player Programs. Behrens will continue to report to NBA President of League Operations JOEL LITVIN. She joined the NBA in '00 and manages the league’s charitable efforts and player development programs. The league will not fill her former position. Rube was promoted from Senior VP & Deputy General Counsel. He joined the NBA in '95 and is responsible for assisting in the league’s collective bargaining, as well as administering the NBA’s revenue sharing plan and salary cap. He reports to NBA Exec VP, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer RICK BUCHANAN. Behrens in '11 was honored as part of SportsBusiness Journal's inaugural class of "Game Changers: Women in Sports Business."
