WeatherTech Returns As Super Bowl Advertiser After Successful Debut Last Year

Illinois-based automotive floor mat manufacturer WeatherTech is again partnering with Pinnacle Advertising "to compete on the ultimate national TV stage" with an ad in next month's Super Bowl telecast on NBC, according to Robert Channick of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. WeatherTech "made a splash last year with its homegrown ad." Pinnacle President & CEO Michael Magnusson said that WeatherTech "will run one 30-second commercial in the first half of this season's game." Channick noted WeatherTech "ran one 30-second commercial in the second quarter" of Super Bowl XLVIII last year when it "was a virtual unknown to most viewers." Magnusson said that the ad "raised the company's profile, and generated enough online traffic and business to warrant a return to the game" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 1/1).
