Becky Hammon, Gillian Zucker, Michele Roberts Among espnW "Impact 25" For '14

Former WNBAer and Spurs assistant coach BECKY HAMMON sits atop espnW's "Impact 25" for '14, as her appointment as the first full-time, salaried, female coach in NBA history was both "groundbreaking and the prize she'd had her eye on for years," according to Allison Glock of ESPNW. The espnW list is a "who's who of women and men who have made a difference for women and sports in the past year." Hammon: "I've heard every reason why I shouldn't be successful. My story is the story of someone who was overlooked, someone who was told they can't" (ESPNW.com, 12/16). Also included on the list are Clippers President of Business Operations GILLIAN ZUCKER and NBPA Exec Dir MICHELE ROBERTS. Zucker: "It's humbling to think that I could inspire a young woman or girl to believe that they can follow their dreams and achieve anything they can imagine" (ESPNW.com, 12/16). Roberts said, "I deliberately didn't become a librarian, the most pressure-free job one can have. I like to live my life this way. Pressure, it's something I'm a big junkie for, and this new job will be pressure-filled. But that's what gets me up in the morning" (ESPNW.com, 12/16).
