The NBA named former ITF Exec Dir of Commercial JAN MENNEKEN Associate VP/Germany, Nordics & Central Europe. Menneken will be based in London and report to NBA VP/Global Marketing Partnerships & Emerging Markets MARC ARMSTRONG. Menneken’s primary focus will be acquiring new marketing partners in the region, while also working across TV, digital, events and licensing to further grow the NBA’s business (NBA).

HORSE FEATHERS: Maryland Jockey Club President & COO TOM CHUCKAS "is resigning" his position, effective Nov. 30. Chuckas joined the organization that puts on the Preakness Stakes in '08. The Stronach Group and Chuckas "are in negotiations regarding the transition of his responsibilities with the company moving forward." In the meantime, the MJC named Philadelphia-based Parx Racing Dir of Racing SAL SINATRA VP & GM (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/26).

EXECS: The Reds named former D'Backs GM & President of Baseball Operations KEVIN TOWERS and former Braves Special Assistant to the GM JEFF SCHUGEL as Special Assistants to GM WALT JOCKETTY (MLB.com, 11/25)....The Thunder named American Airlines Dir of Global Sports & Entertainment Marketing DAWN TURNER Dir of Marketing & Brand Management, effective Dec.1 (Thunder)....U.K.-based lobby group, Velon, which was "set up to represent the interests of 11 professional cycling teams," named former EPL club Liverpool Commercial Dir GRAHAM BARTLETT to run the joint venture (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 11/25)....The PGA Tour Memorial Tournament named PGA Tour Inside Sales Rep VINCENT HOFFART Sales Associate (Memorial Tournament).
