Broncos Sign With DraftKings, Becoming Third NFL Club With Daily Fantasy Sports Deal

The Broncos “have signed an exclusive partnership agreement with daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings,” marking the second NFL partnership for DraftKings after a deal signed with the Patriots last month, according to Darren Heitner of FORBES. The “only other NFL team that has partnered with a daily fantasy sports site” is the Redskins, who last week signed a deal with FanDuel. The “exclusive partnership will allow DraftKings to be featured on the Broncos’ digital media platforms as well as the franchise’s official website.” DraftKings fantasy updates also “will be displayed on in-stadium LED signage and as part of local Broncos’ television and radio segments.” The partnership “will present DraftKings with the ability to run Broncos-related contests for users that include the giveaway of tickets to games, VIP events and autographed memorabilia.” The NFL “remains the only major U.S.-based professional sports league that has yet to enter into a partnership with an operator in the daily fantasy sports space” (FORBES.com, 11/20).
