Sources: NWSL Exec Dir Bailey Stepping Down From Position Upon Finding replacement

NWSL Exec Dir Cheryl Bailey will "step down" from her position "upon the completion of a search for her replacement," according to sources cited by Jeff Kassouf of SOCCERLY.com. Bailey "guided the NWSL through its first two seasons of existence," in '13 and '14. Sources said that Bailey’s decision "comes from wanting to spend more time with family." Her decision "has been known within league circles for some time." A job posting in the NCAA’s listings Thursday "revealed that the NWSL is looking for an 'executive director/commissioner.'”  Bailey and the NWSL "did not return requests for comment" (SOCCERLY.com, 11/17). Bailey was a '13 SBJ "Game Changer" (THE DAILY).
