Digital Consulting Firm Omnigon Opening New Offices In L.A.; St. Petersburg, Russia

Digital consulting firm Omnigon has opened new offices in L.A. and St. Petersburg, Russia, adding to its existing N.Y. HQ and locations in London; Toronto; and Kiev, Ukraine. The outfit has also acquired Touch Instinct, a Russian mobile development company, to further aid its international and mobile businesses. The L.A. location in particular was created to serve a variety of top-tier clients on the West Coast, including the NFL, Fox Sports, Fox Broadcasting and MTV. And the Touch Instinct deal was an acqui-hire in which Omnigon bought the company less for its client base and more to bring on staff its roster of 25 mobile developers. Touch Instinct CEO Andrey Baskov will relocate to N.Y. and become Omnigon's Mobile CTO. Manish Dayal will lead the west coast office as Managing Dir of Omnigon L.A. "It's pretty much impossible to get 25 talented mobile developers at one time, so to be able to do this deal is a big win for us," said Omnigon Chief Commercial Officer Dave Nugent, of the Touch Instinct deal. "It allows us to take better advantages of the continued move toward mobile, and puts us in a better position to be innovative across a variety of platforms." Omingon also recently closed a deal to lead mobile product development for the '15 Rugby World Cup in England. The Rugby World Cup, played every four years, is one of the largest international sports events in the world behind the FIFA World Cup, Olympics, and Tour de France.
