Bucks Launch Bar Network Serving As Official Gathering Spots Throughout Wisconsin

The Bucks, beginning their first season under the ownership of Marc Lasry and Wes Edens, are attempting new ways to reach out and expand their fanbase. The franchise last week announced the formation of the Bucks Bar Network, a collection of neighborhood bars and restaurants throughout Wisconsin that will serve as official gathering spots for Bucks fans this season. Participating bars will show every game this season, be decked out in Bucks decorations and offer specials for MVP ticketholders. The Bucks Bar Network will officially launch tomorrow for the season opener against the Hornets. The club is encouraging fans to post which location they are viewing the game at on social media using the #BucksBars hashtag. Bucks Senior VP & Chief Revenue Officer Ted Loehrke said, "Any small market has the same challenges. There is not as deep a pool of potential customers. That being said, we can be successful just like many other small markets have been successful in the past." Meanwhile, the Bucks are increasing efforts into the development of a super fan system, by having new coach Jason Kidd name 100 of the most passionate fans to the Ultimate Fan Squad. Members will receive tickets to every Bucks home game this season and earn different rewards based on the number of games they attend. Fans will also be involved in the process of coming up with an official name for the group. Loehrke: "We want to see the group grow into a soccer-style supporter group that has the same kind of energy and enthusiasm for the team and can really help drive the arena environment on a night-to-night basis, but also something that can grow organically over time and really turn our most ardent fans into our most ardent brand ambassadors in the marketplace."
