Chelsea CEO RON GOURLAY is leaving the EPL club to "pursue new business challenges" after a decade with the team. Gourlay has kept a "relatively low profile since replacing PETER KENYON during a period that has been Chelsea's most successful on the pitch but also tumultuous off it" (GUARDIAN, 10/22). Chelsea Club Dir MARINA GRANOVSKAIA will "assume Gourlay's responsibilities" along with Chair BRUCE BUCK, "pending additional appointments" (LONDON TIMES, 10/22).

EXECS: Speedway Motorsports Inc. promoted VP/Partnership Development GEOFF ULRICH to VP/Consumer Strategy, Texas Motor Speedway Dir of Ticketing JASON BOWLING to VP/Ticketing & Marketing Information, and Atlanta Motor Speedway VP/Sales GREG WALTER to VP/Partnership Development (SMI)....Jacksonville State Univ. AD WARREN KOEGEL "announced Wednesday he will retire Dec. 31." He was hired in '11 and "originally planned to remain at the school for 'six or seven years,'" but his wife is "facing health issues" (ANNISTON STAR, 10/23).
