C-SPAN Today To Air Speech By USOC's Scott Blackmun, Two College Sports Panels

C-SPAN will show live coverage this afternoon of a speech given by USOC CEO Scott Blackmun at a National Press Club event in DC that is sponsored by the Big 12 Conference. Blackmun's remarks are scheduled to start at 1:00pm ET today. He will be followed by two panels on the state of college athletics that also will be carried live on C-SPAN. Panelists on the first panel (3:00-4:00pm) include Blackmun, TCU AD Chris Del Conte, Oklahoma State President Burns Hargis and journalists Joe Nocera (N.Y. Times), Pete Thamel (SI) and Steve Berkowitz (USA Today). The second panel (4:45-6:15pm) is called "Are Student-Athletes Employees" and will feature Kansas AD Sheahon Zenger, former Arizona State AD Lisa Love, former U.S. Rep Tom McMillan (D-Md.), ESPN's Len Elmore and USA Today's Christine Brennan.
