Final Ratings: Ryder Cup Friday Boosts Golf Channel To Near-Record Total-Day Audience

Golf Channel aired live coverage of the first day of the Ryder Cup for the first time on Friday, averaging 828,000 viewers for coverage from 6:00am-1:27pm ET. ESPN had the Friday coverage in 2010, the last time the event was in Europe. That telecast was marred by inclement weather. The 828,000 viewers for Golf Channel led the net to its second-best total-day audience on record.

The charts below list final ratings from recent sports telecasts.
