AMB Sports & Entertainment Group named Walt Disney Parks & Resorts VP/Experience Development & Media Strategy MIKE GOMES to the newly created position of Falcons Senior VP/Fan Experience. Gomes, who worked at Disney for more than 20 years, will "be tasked with enhancing event-day experiences at Falcons games in the Georgia Dome, as well as at Falcons games, MLS games and other events in the new retractable-roof stadium slated to open" in '17 (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 9/12).

EXECS: Bellator MMA announced that Viacom Senior VP/Digital Operations, Strategy & Finance JASON JORDAN will add duties as the promotion's COO (Bellator). Viacom acquired a controlling stake in Bellator in November '11 (THE DAILY)....Charlotte-based Bespoke Sports & Entertainment named Goodyear Marketing Manager JONATHAN NORMAN VP/Strategic Planning and Novant Health Sports Partnership Coordinator BROOKE FAW Manager (THE DAILY)....Columbus-based merchandising agency Idegy named DB Sports Marketing CEO DAVID BROWN Exec VP. Brown also had previous stints as Ohio State Univ. Associate Dir of External Relations and IMG Regional VP (Idegy)....New Mexico State Univ. extended the employment of Deputy AD DAVID MCCOLLUM through September '15. His job description, annual pay rate of $100,000 and term remain the same. NMSU AD MCKINLEY BOSTON  is set to "step down from his position Dec. 31." McCollum said that he "will consider applying for the position when it posts." NMSU President GARREY CARRUTHERS in an e-mail wrote that he "hopes to name Boston's replacement before Dec. 31" (LAS CRUCES SUN-NEWS, 9/12)....Yankees Senior VP/Baseball Operations MARK NEWMAN "is believed to be retiring after 26 years with the organization -- the past 15 in charge of a minor league system that has been criticized for not sending position players to the big leagues" (N.Y.
