Univ. of Oregon President MICHAEL GOTTFREDSON resigned yesterday "after two years on the job." He became "enmeshed with the controversy in the men's basketball program in his final months in office," as three UO players were "accused in March of raping a female freshman" (Portland OREGONIAN, 8/7).

EXECS: Portland-based apparel brand Respect Your Universe named investor MARCELLO LEONE CEO, replacing CRAIG BROD, who assumed the position in May '13 (Portland OREGONIAN, 8/7)....Duke AD KEVIN WHITE has agreed to a contract extension through June 30, 2021.
