Oh Captain, My Captain: Derek Jeter Tops List Of Best-Selling MLB Jerseys

Yankees SS Derek Jeter may be retiring at the end of the year, but he heads into his final All-Star Game with MLB's top-selling jersey. The Dodgers lead all teams with three players -- Ps Clayton Kershaw and Hyun-Jin Ryu and RF Yasiel Puig -- on the list (MLB).

CHANGE IN JERSEY AVAILABILITY: Distribution for MLB's top-shelf authentic products, the $225-295 MLB Authentic Collection game jerseys, has been narrowed though an amendment of MLB's licensing agreement with licensee VF/Majestic. Going forward, "pure play" digital retailers like Fanatics and Amazon will no longer be permitted to sell the authentic jerseys. They will remain available on MLB.com's online shop and on the e-commerce sites of retailers, which continue to sell them in their brick-and-mortar stores (Terry Lefton, Editor-at-Large).
