The Clippers yesterday announced a restructuring of the team’s basketball operations department, with coach and Senior VP/Basketball Operations DOC RIVERS taking the title of President of Basketball Operations and continuing as coach. The Clippers also promoted Dir of Professional Scouting DAVE WOHL to GM and assistant coach KEVIN EASTMAN to VP/Basketball Operations (Clippers). Additionally, the Clippers demoted VP/Basketball Operations GARY SACKS to Assistant GM, Dir of Basketball Operations GERALD MADKINS to Dir of Scouting and Dir of Scouting JASON PIOMBETTI to Assistant Dir of Scouting. The team also hired JUD WINTON as Dir of Analytics, and fired Video Coordinator MOHAMMAD DAKHIL (L.A. TIMES, 6/17).
