Ferguson To Teach Exec Education At Harvard On Business Of Media, Sports

Former EPL club Manchester United manager ALEX FERGUSON has been appointed to a long-term teaching position in Executive Education by Harvard Business School. His role starts this spring when he will lecture to senior execs from around the world as part of the new "The Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports" program (Harvard). The WALL STREET JOURNAL's Joshua Robinson noted the four-day exec education program "costs $8,250" and will "run from May 7 and cover topics including talent management." Ferguson was "the subject of a 2012 case study by HBS professor ANITA ELBERSE, which culminated in a lecture and a Harvard Business Review article last year" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 4/5). The FINANCIAL TIMES' John Aglionby noted Elberse's case study was titled, "Sir Alex Ferguson: Managing Manchester United," and she has worked with Ferguson "analysing his management techniques." Ferguson also has "participated in several" of Elberse's classes" (FT.com, 4/4).
