Scott said, "I never ask what stage I'm in. I haven't wanted to know. It won't change anything to me." Scott on the job "seems unaffected by three bouts" of the disease. But his face "looks thin, and his colleagues are concerned." Scott said that his cancer so far "has not spread beyond where it was found," but he "would not give a doctor permission to speak about his condition or provide further details" (N.Y. TIMES, 3/12).
