In N.Y., Richard Sandomir in a piece teased on the front page writes the "fight continues" against cancer for ESPN's STUART SCOTT, as he "has had 58 infusions of chemotherapy." Scott said, "I never ask what stage I'm in. I haven't wanted to know. It won't change anything to me." Scott on the job "seems unaffected by three bouts" of the disease. But his face "looks thin, and his colleagues are concerned." Scott said that his cancer so far "has not spread beyond where it was found," but he "would not give a doctor permission to speak about his condition or provide further details" (N.Y. TIMES, 3/12).

MORE WORK COMING? Disney Media Networks co-Chair and Disney/ABC Television Group President ANNE SWEENEY yesterday "announced her intentions to resign." Whether her departure "will also mean a change in stature" for ESPN President JOHN SKIPPER "remains to be seen." Skipper and Sweeney "shared the co-chair of Disney Media Networks title." Skipper is "unlikely to add anymore to his already-full plate, but he could end up with sole ownership of that title" (L.A. TIMES, 3/12).

REAL ESTATE REPORT: Buccaneers co-Chair BRYAN GLAZER "sold his three-bedroom, 2,700 square-foot penthouse condo on the Gold Coast for $995,000." Glazer "took a loss on the condo," which he purchased in '02 for $1.08M (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 3/12)....BARRY BONDS has "sold his Italian-inspired estate in gated Beverly Park" in L.A. for $22M. Bonds paid $8.7M for the 17,100-square-foot villa in '02 (LATIMES.com, 3/11)....VENUS WILLIAMS has "sold a home in Hollywood Hills West" for $1.7M. Williams bought the 1,528-square-foot home for $1.9M in '05 (LATIMES.com, 3/11).
