Cuban Accepts Invite To USF Sport Management Program After Critical Remarks

Mavericks Owner MARK CUBAN accepted Univ. of South Florida professor BILL SUTTON's invitation to visit the school’s Sport & Entertainment Management program, which Sutton leads. In a column in this week’s SportsBusiness Journal, Sutton challenged Cuban’s assessment of the sports marketing major as “worthless” and invited him to visit the Tampa school and see the program for himself. Sutton told THE DAILY yesterday, “I am thrilled that Mark is coming to USF, not only so that I can vindicate my program and the major, but also to get some suggestions from him as to how I can get better and hope to share that message with others in my position.” Sutton said the visit will be coordinated with the Lightning, which helped USF establish the program in '12 (THE DAILY).
