New Jersey Transit Exec Dir JIM WEINSTEIN yesterday announced that he will be stepping down, "just weeks after the agency was faulted for taking part in a coordinated transportation plan that led to post-game chaos" at Super Bowl XLVIII. He will be replaced as of March 1 (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 2/19). Weinstein "has seen four troubled years that included communications breakdowns with customers, clumsy handling of Super Bowl transportation and the ill-fated decision to leave railcars in flood-prone areas during Superstorm Sandy" (NORTHJERSEY.com, 2/18).

BOLTING THE BELTWAY: Nationals VP/Communications & Brand Development LARA POTTER is leaving the club to become Visa Dir of Sports Sponsorship Relationships. Potter will report to Visa Senior Business Leader of Global Sponsorship Marketing MATT KAUFFMAN. Potter joined the Nationals in '10 after a five-year stint as NFL Players Assistant VP/Communications, and aided in the club's extensive branding efforts in recent years, including the "Natitude" campaign. The Nationals have not named a replacement (Eric Fisher, Staff Writer).

EXECS: Rossetti Architectural Design Lead JONATHAN DISBROW and Dir of Business Development & Marketing DENISE DRACH were both named Associates. The two will become Rosetti shareholders (Rossetti)....Pinehurst Resort named Jacksonville-based Sawgrass Marriott Golf Sales Manager DONALD BOSTIC Dir of National Accounts for its group sales department (Pinehurst)....Nike named Barclays Managing Dir and CIO for Europe & the Middle East ANTHONY WATSON CIO (OREGONLIVE.com, 2/18)....Former VANOC VP/Sponsorship, Sales & Marketing ANDREA SHAW last week launched Torque Strategies, a marketing firm with offices in Toronto and Vancouver (Torque)....The American Baseball Coaches Association named High Point Univ. AD CRAIG KEILITZ Exec Dir, effective July 1. Keilitz replaces his father, DAVE KEILITZ, who is retiring after 20 years in the role (BASEBALLAMERICA.com, 2/18)....Indiana Univ.-Purdue Univ.-Ft. Wayne named women's volleyball coach KELLEY HARTLEY HUTTON AD (IUPUFW).
