DR. FRANCIS CONIDI will present a study at the American Academy's April 26-May 3 annual meeting "comparing 10 of the most widely used football helmets in drop tests designed to measure the kinds of forces that are most likely to result in concussion." Conidi serves as Director of the Florida Center for Headache & Sports Neurology and Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Florida State Univ. College of Medicine in Port Saint Lucie, Fla. Conidi also is Vice Chair of the American Academy of Neurology’s Sports Neurology Section. His study found that the Adams A2000 helmet "provided the best protection against concussion," while the Schutt Air Advantage "fared most poorly" (L.A. TIMES, 2/18).

FITNESS REGIMEN: Eagles TE BRENT CELEK is profiled in the WALL STREET JOURNAL's "What's Your Workout" feature. Celek "took about three weeks off after the season ended" before beginning his offseason training. He "focuses on flexibility and functional movements," as two to three days a week he "attends yoga class or Pure Barre, which combines yoga, Pilates and light weights." Celek "uses the Eagles training facility to get in a light weight workout" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/18).
