The Daily Hits 20: Remembering Several Important Naming-Rights Deals

When THE DAILY launched, only 17 major league venues had a corporate name, including five buildings that were under construction. Of those deals, only Target, United and Coors signage remains. Target is in the final season of an extension at the T'Wolves' and WNBA Lynx’ home arena. Just days after our launch, CoreStates (Philadelphia) and Gund (Cleveland) would announce deals, and by our first aniversary, the list of big league naming-rights deals had nearly doubled.
