  • NFL Attendance Up 1% Through Week 9; Vikings Benefit From London Game

The NFL is seeing a small uptick in attendance through Week 9, helped by increased attendance for teams that played home games in London this season. The Vikings are averaging 68,822 fans per game this season, which included a home game against the Steelers at Wembley Stadium. That game drew 83,500 fans, compared to the team's average of 63,923 at the Metrodome. The Wembley game has helped the Vikings to a league-leading 17% jump in attendance. Excluding the Wembley game, Vikings' attendance is up 9%. Meanwhile, the Packers are seeing an 11% jump at Lambeau Field. The team expanded capacity this season, going from 73,094 last season to 80,750 for '13. The Rams are seeing the sharpest drop among NFC teams to date, with attendance down 11%. The team played a home game at Wembley last season. The chart below lists NFC attendance through Nov. 5. See tomorrow's issue for AFC figures (THE DAILY).
