Executive Transactions

The Bills on Wednesday named MIKE LYONS Dir of Analytics, but team President & CEO RUSS BRANDON was "reluctant to get into too many specifics" about Lyons' duties. Lyons, an MIT alum, eventually will "examine every aspect of the operation," including ticket sales and stadium operations. He is a "long-time Bills season-ticket holder, but has no football background to speak of" (BUFFALO NEWS, 11/1).

EXECS: The NCAA D-I Women's Basketball Committee named Big 12 Senior Associate Commissioner DRU HANCOCK Chair for the '14-15 academic year. Hancock "will succeed" Mountain West Conference Senior Associate Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator CAROLAYNE HENRY (AP, 10/31)....MFP Baseball, which owns the Triple-A PCL Nashville Sounds, has hired the government relations team at law firm Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis -- led by attorney JAMES WEAVER -- "to lobby the Metro Council for a new, 10,000-seat baseball stadium at the historic Sulphur Dell site" (TENNESSEAN.com, 10/30).
